Our Director is Amy Riddle

Amy is a native of Grand Gorge, New York and has been involved with music since childhood. She learned to play the piano at age 7, the guitar at age 8, and sang in the school chorus and church choir. She moved south to attend classes at the University of South Florida and holds a bachelor's degree in music from USF, and a master's degree in education from National-Louis University, Tampa campus. She was a music teacher at Gulf Middle School when she saw a notice that the chorus was looking for a director. After attending a rehearsal of the a cappella group, she stayed on as director-in-training until being named director in 1996. She is currently choral director at Gulf High School in New Port Richey, a post she has held  since 1997.

Although Amy was new to barbershop style music, she progressed quite rapidly through the Director Educational courses and  became a Certified Director with Sweet Adelines, International.  Amy is also a member of the Education Faculty of Region 9.   Each year she attends classes sponsored by Sweet Adelines for the purpose of continuing education of directors at all levels of achievement. Amy has every intention of becoming a Master Director (the highest level in the organization) in the not too distant future

Amy's husband, Glenn, is a chiropractor and daughters Brianna & Alyssa are Sweet Adelines in training!
